Boxers originated in Germany and were brought to the United States after World War I. They were originally bred for hunting large game such as deer, boar and small bears. Today, the boxer is known for its intelligence, loyalty and active nature. A healthy boxer can run up to 30 mph and needs plenty of daily exercise.
