Both an experiment in illustrating with rigid geometry and an homage to the video games of my youth, I initially began making pixel art on flights, as the meticulousness of their construction lent itself well to being confined to a plane seat. I build these in Adobe Illustrator, pixel by pixel, introducing a deliberateness and a tedium that helps to slow me down and consider the placement of each element.
Level frames are made from Maple or Walnut sourced from FSC-certified, sustainably-harvested forests. Learn more about our frames here. Level prints with color calibrated, high quality Canon and Epson printers. All printers use pigmented inks, which are recommended for longevity of fine art.
