"My ideas come from everyday things that I see. I'm a big fan of photography and composition, so it's really important that my work has strong compositional elements as well as a photographic quality. I'm always impressed at the capability of the human hand, so photo-realism is the way I challenge myself. My biggest goal is to trick the viewer into thinking they're looking at a photograph. This image is a detail of an old, red, rotary phone."

I'm an artist and teacher from New Jersey living and working in Tucson, Arizona. I started taking art seriously in high school, and decided to pursue teaching when I went to college at the University of Arizona in Tucson. I've taught high school art here since 2005 and I wouldn't trade my job for the anything else. Teaching students their potential has been more rewarding than I could have ever imagined!
