Gabriela Burdsall, at just 12 years old, dances with grace.
Gabriela was performing with her grandmother Lorna and studying to be a professional dancer. The portrait was taken in Havana, she struck a clockwork pose, abstracting her form expressively. The dance expression, the architecture, the graffiti, the composition and the grain of the film, all add to the theme of time. This was shot by Barra using a Leica M6 and Elmarit 24mm lens with Neopan 35mm film. It is a sharp photograph even at large print size with a very attractive texture from the grainy film. Signed LE prints, limited to 50 prints, on exposed professional photo paper.
