These are four new posters in my 'Warrior's Dreams' series. Volume 2 is based on the Code of Chivalry followed by Northern European Knights from the Middle Ages.

Each print is from a limited edition of 75, I've made a few of them available here with custom framing option built in:

Each poster is a 12" x 36" seven-color screen-print, printed on chrome foil paper with clear metallic sparkle by Seizure Palace in Portland, OR.

These framed versions are signed and numbered by me.

All four of the posters:

From left to right: I Knight of Honour, II Knight of Courage, III Knight of Loyalty, IV Knight of Faith

The Frames

I've selected a Black Maple, 3/4" profile with 1.5" matting for these posters, but you can frame them according to your own taste. Level will hand craft each frame using domestically sourced, sustainable wood and other components including 6-ply archival matting and framers grade acrylic. These frames arrive ready to hang, look good and will save you the trip to the custom frame shop.

Here's a closeup of one of the 12" x 36" prints they framed from the last "Warrior's Dreams" series.

The Inspiration

Conceptually, the short stories found in Sir Thomas Malory's Le Morte d'Arthur (1485), which was important in defining the ideal of chivalry, served as the inspiration for this collection.

Aesthetically, the armor referenced in these prints were heavily inspired by the Arms and Armor exhibit in The Metropolitan Museum of Art, which houses rare pieces from pre-1500 Europe, specifically the highly decorative armor from the Royal Workshops at Greenwich founded by Henry VIII.

Each poster embodies the essentials to the modern concept of the knight; an elite warrior sworn to uphold the values of faith, loyalty, courage, and honour.
