Are these limited edition prints?
This artwork may come from an edition of prints produced in limited quantity, or available for a limited time period only. See details on the collection page.

How will the artwork be framed?
All artwork is framed by Level using all wood profiles and acid-free, archival materials. You can set the frame and mat style based on what looks best to you, or go with the settings recommended directly by the artist. Framed artwork will arrive with all necessary instructions and hardware for hanging.

Are the prints signed?
Some prints will come signed and numbered by the artist. This information can be found in the description.

What does the print size refer to?
This is the size of the paper the artwork is printed on, measured from edge to edge. Once you start customizing the frame, you will also see the dimensions of the outer frame.

How do you ship and what is the turnaround time?
Framed artwork is shipped via FedEx Ground from NY, well-protected to arrive safely. We build the frame to your specifications and mount the artwork within 5 days of each order, unless a specific ship date is stated in the collection or on the print descriptions. Shipping takes another 1 to 5 days depending on your address (US-only for now).

What is the return policy?
Due to the custom nature of this product, we cannot accept returns. However, if the frame arrives damaged or defective in any way, please take a photo of it and email us as soon as possible so that we can make it right.

Who should I contact if I have any issues or questions with my order?
Please email us at support@levelframes.com.

What is Level?
Level provides artists with new ways to sell their work framed, and makes it easier for collectors to frame the prints and posters they purchase. If you are an artist interested in selling your own work framed with Level, please get in touch at hello@levelframes.com.

Joey Roth Collection

A collection of my letterpress posters for designers, entrepreneurs, artists, startups and anyone fascinated by the creative process. Each arrives framed to your liking and ready to hang.

My goal in designing this series of limited edition posters has been to illustrate the creative process, the route one takes from being inspired to launching something into the world.

Select a poster below to see more detail, and continue reading for more about how they are made.

Letterpress Printing

When it comes to designing and creating any of my products, I try my best to preserve and highlight their natural qualities. Material is 95% of the product; my role is to articulate the material's essence through design without getting in its way.

Each poster is printed by Dependable Letterpress on 32# Lettra text weight stock, a warm, white paper with a soft, fabric-like feel.

The Frames

My personal preference for framing these prints is the 3/4" black maple frame with 1.5" white matting and a Non-glare glaze, but you are of course welcome to frame according to your own taste or to match your space.

Each frame is assembled by hand in New York. The wood is FSC-certified, sustainably-harvested American lumber, available in a variety of custom finishes. Level uses Crescent Select 6-ply archival mats, acid-free backing boards, and Acrylite framers grade glaze (UV-protection and Non-glare options are available). All materials are sourced domestically and selected based on their quality and sustainability.

Other Projects

Lately I have been proactive in completing a couple of design-related projects. A few months ago I teamed up with Skillshare to create my own course, titled 'Product Design: How to Launch Successful Products'. I recently set up a retail space in Portland, Oregon, where my goal is to create a multi-sensory experience, allowing us to interact more directly with our customers, test out new ideas and understand more clearly how people encounter and use our products.

Stop by the new store if you find yourself in the Pacific Northwest, it's located at 3808 N. Williams Ave #132, in Portland, Oregon.

Another recent project is a series of limited edition Eastern Hard Maple blocks that feature the same compositions as my prints. The unique laser engraving process fluidly resolves lines and curves without charring the maple.

Self-Watering Planter

--

Joey Roth picked himself. He picked himself to bring his wooden compass to the world. And his stunning Ceramic Speakers. And his handmade, self-watering planters.

By picking himself and (most of all) by making work that resonates, he brings his art to people who care about it, daily.
