Framed Vinyl Album: Abbey Road by The Beatles
This is arguably the most iconic album cover of all time. The Beatles are seen walking away from EMI Studios in London (later re-named Abbey Road Studio) where they had been recording. Released in September of 1969 amidst tensions that would define their last days as a group, they pulled it together for another beautiful collaboration.
The cover, designed by Apple Records creative director Kosh, is the only Beatles album sleeve to show neither the band name nor the record title, despite the suits at EMI claiming the record would't sell without them. Kosh explained "we didn't need to write the band's name on the cover...They were the most famous band in the world."
This record is framed using all wood profiles, archival matting, and UV-filtering non-glare acrylic. The cover artwork is presented in full, while the actual vinyl peeks out of the sleeve. Outer dimensions of each frame are 25.5" x 17.5". Framed albums arrive fully sealed and are meant for decorative use only.
