Awards show season has just kicked off, so what better time to talk about our favorite movies, television, characters and the artwork they've inspired?
Since the first day we started online custom framing, movie posters and prints have been one of most common categories to pass through our framing studio.
With this in mind, we have curated a list of some of our favorite places to shop for them online.
Source: Bottleneck Gallery (Artists L to R: Laurent Durieux, Matt Ferguson and Dave Perilo)
Home to a rotating collection of limited-edition prints based on popular films and television, Bottleneck is an amazing place to hunt for new wall art.
You can sort by available releases (to skip over the many sold out items) or works specific to talented artists such as Matt Ferguson, AJ Masthay, Laurent Durieux and many more.
Bottleneck releases sell out quickly, so you need to be on your toes to grab one. Fortunately, if you are able to purchase a poster you love, you can add a custom frame (courtesy of Level Frames) and have your new artwork shipped ready to hang.
Source: Mondo (Artists: Jessica Seamans and Phantom City Creative)
Mondo is another spot to find limited-edition posters and prints dedicated to your favorite shows and movies. At any given time, they have a small, curated collection of frame-worthy posters for sale, along with other items such as albums (we love to frame vinyl records!) and t-shirts.
You can find small obscure Italian horror films like Dario Argento's "Tenebraea" along with blockbuster, family-friendly hits like Pixar's "Toy Story" (both posters above).
Many of Mondo's releases are standard poster frame sizes such as 18" x 24" and 24" x 36", so you will have a range of framing options to choose from.

Looking for a different take on movie posters? Fred Birchal recreates some of the most visually recognizable elements from popular films and TV shows like Breaking Bad, Star Wars and Back to the Future, just to name a few. His pieces pay homage to your favorite movies in a way that is eye-catching without being busy.
Check out the hundreds of iconc outfits, architecture and automobiles from your favorite movies and shows and see how many you can instantly recognize. All prints can be custom framed to your liking and shipped to you ready to hang.
This Netherlands-based designer has an impressive collection of minimalist movie prints. Whether or not you ascribe to the Minimalism lifestyle, we can probably agree that it makes for some seriously cool posters.
In custom framing, the minimalist approach is sometimes the best way - a black, gallery style profile and an inch or two of white matting will always look clean and contemporary, allowing the artwork to stand out.
Just make sure to use museum-quality materials when you frame in order to preserve photos, posters and prints over the long haul.
What's Playing Right Now
Today's box office is being dominated by the new Star Wars "Rise of Skywalker, on its way to a billion dollars in ticket sales, the re-boot of "Jumanji" and the long awaited sequel to Pixar's "Frozen. If you are into any of these franchises, you won't have too much trouble finding artwork they have inspired.
Ticket sales aside, there is one character that is being talked about and Tweeted more than anyone else:
